Q. My message key is blinking but I don't have any voice mail messages. What’s wrong?

A. Someone has left you a station message. To clear the station message light, dial feature code 368. (You may need to press the SPCL or Infinity key before dialing the feature code.)

Q. How do I make a conference call?

A. While on the first call, press CNF to put the call on hold. Place another intercom or outside call. Put the second call on hold by pressing the flashing CNF key. To add a third call, repeat this step and place all parties on Conference. (Conferencing can be done for up to a total of 4 callers, including yourself.) Press the flashing CNF to join all of the calls together in the conference.

During the conference call, you can do the following:

  • Place the conference on hold.
    Press Hold. This places the conference on hold (parties are still connected). To return to the conference, press CNF.
  • Drop out of the conference.
    Press CNF, then hang up. This removes your phone from the conference, but leaves the other parties connected.
  • Add additional parties to the conference.
    • Press CNF. This leaves the conference parties connected.
    • Place a call to the party to be added to the conference.
    • Press CNF twice to put yourself and the new party into the conference.
  • End the conference and place all parties on individual hold.
    Press CNF and then press Hold to place all of the parties on individual hold. You can then speak to one party at a time by pressing the flashing call key.
  • Transfer the conference to another extension.
    Press Transfer and dial the desired Extension number. Then hang up when you are ready to complete the transfer.

Q. How do I change the volume on my phone?

A. Use the volume control key (located just above the SPCL or Infinity key) to adjust the handset, speaker or ring volume. Each feature can be adjusted separately. While you use each feature, press the volume bar to the desired level and then press in the center of the volume bar to save the desired level.

Q. How do I program speed dial numbers?

A. Speed dial numbers can be programmed using the following methods:

  • Station speed dial for internal extension numbers.
    To program a key for one key dialing for an internal extension, dial 397 and press a programmable key on your phone. (They are located on the right side of the standard phone or the bottom row on the executive phone.) Enter the desired extension number. The extension is now stored at that location.
  • Station speed dial for outside phone numbers - Option 1.
    Program 1 key to hold 10 speed dial numbers.
    • Step 1 - Dial 397, press a programmable key, enter feature code 382 and press the speaker key. This creates a station speed dial key.
    • Step 2 - To store the numbers, dial feature code 383 and enter a bin number 0-9. The display will ask you to enter a name. Use the keypad to enter the name and press # to save the name. Next, the display will ask you for a number. Enter 8 followed by the number and press # to save the number.
    • Step 3 - To use this speed dial key, press your new speed dial key and enter the bin number. - OR - Press your new speed dial key and use the volume bar to scroll. When you see the correct number, press the # key to dial.
  • Station speed dial for outside phone numbers - Option 2.
    Program 1 key to dial 1 outside number.
    • Step 1 - Dial 397 and press a programmable key. Dial 382 and enter a bin number 0-9. This will create a station speed dial key.
    • Step 2 - To store the number, dial 383 and enter the bin number of the key you have created (the same bin number used in step 1). The display will ask you for a name. Enter the name using the keypad and press # to save the name. The display will ask for a number. Enter 8 followed by the number, then press # to save the number.
    • Step 3 - To use this speed dial key, press the speed dial key and the number you programmed will be dialed.

Q. How do I initialize my voice mailbox?

A.

  • Dial the voice mail extension number (2500 or 275, depending on your system.)
  • Press * (star) key and enter your mailbox number
  • Enter your default password (your default password is your mailbox number)
  • Press the # key
  • Follow the voice mail prompts

Q. How do I record a personal greeting (primary or alternate)?

A.

  • Dial the voice mail extension number (2500 or 275, depending on your system.)
  • Press * (star) key and enter your mailbox number
  • Enter your password and press the # key
  • Press 4 for personal options
  • Press 1 to change a greeting
  • Press 1 to record a primary greeting or 2 to record your alternate greeting.
  • Follow the voice mail prompts

Q. How do I re-record my directory name?

A.

  • Dial the voice mail extension number (2500 or 275, depending on your system.)
  • Press * (star) key and enter your mailbox number
  • Enter your password and press the # key
  • Press 4 for personal options
  • Press 2 to record your directory name, follow the prompts to re-record. (remember to save your recording)

Q. If I move my phone, will I lose all of my programming?

A. No. The programming will stay with the jack (circuit) not with the actual phone. If you plug your phone into someone else’s jack, you will see that extension’s name and extension number in the display.
